Introducing Guy's Vision: Revitalizing the Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Beginning in April 2023, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando at Bonnet Creek, near Walt Disney World Resort, will undergo an extensive transformation, set to debut in December 2023. This comprehensive redesign encompasses every facet of the resort, from its rooms and suites to its lobby space, culinary offerings including the renowned Bull & Bear restaurant, spa facilities, and the prestigious 18-hole golf course.

The esteemed interior design firm, Parker Torres Design, has entrusted Guy with conceptualizing the redesign of the guest rooms and suites, building upon his legacy as one of the original designers for the Disney-based Waldorf. This collaboration promises to infuse the property with Guy's signature blend of innovation and sophistication.

"We are thrilled to unveil our plans for the complete transformation of Waldorf Astoria Orlando," expressed Ryan Fitzgerald, the general manager of Waldorf Astoria Orlando. "As a Waldorf Astoria hotel, we are dedicated to offering our guests the pinnacle of luxury accommodations and amenities, and we are committed to surpassing their expectations from the moment they arrive."

The refurbishment commenced last year with the introduction of the new Central Park Ballroom, expanding the resort's meetings and events capabilities to nearly 60,000 square feet of versatile space. This year's renovation marks the most significant enhancement to the property since its inception in 2009, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure minimal disruption to guests' experiences.

Key elements of the revitalization include:

Hotel Lobby: From April to June 2023, the lobby will undergo a transformation, welcoming guests with a bright and airy ambiance accentuated by marble detailing and a natural color palette, while preserving the iconic Waldorf Astoria clock as a symbol of hospitality.

Guest Rooms & Suites: Inspired by the serene surroundings of Bonnet Creek, the redesigned accommodations will feature a soft, contemporary palette evoking the lush flora and fauna of the area. Customized artwork, high-end furnishings, and modern amenities will enhance the guest experience, ensuring comfort and luxury at every turn.

Peacock Alley: Following the lobby's completion, Peacock Alley will undergo a rejuvenation to complement the refreshed space, offering guests a refined dining experience amidst elegant surroundings.

Bull & Bear: This acclaimed restaurant will be transformed into an opulent fine dining destination, featuring modern design elements and an updated menu inspired by the surrounding golf course.

Waldorf Spa: Redesigned with relaxation in mind, the spa will introduce new treatments and amenities, including couples' treatments and a Himalayan Salt Therapy Room.

Waldorf Marketplace: A new addition to the resort, this all-day space will offer artisanal coffee, handmade baked goods, prepared foods, and a decadent chocolate program.

Waldorf Astoria Golf Club: Renovations to the golf course will restore it to its original glory, with improvements to each hole and a full redesign of select sections.

As Guy's transformative vision comes to life, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando is poised to elevate the guest experience to new heights of luxury and sophistication, setting a new standard for hospitality in the heart of Florida.
