Ground signs rise atop giant black granite plinths, also housing a reflection pool that's bottom-lit. The result, especially at night, is a shimmering structural masterpiece. Rows of giant Italian cypress trees, royal Canary date palms, and forests of towering bamboo create a tropical paradise. This turnabout is the gateway to the $6.3-million Clermont Arts & Recreation Center, a 69,000-square-foot facility featuring the county's largest auditorium, a theater, swimming pools, a gymnasium, commercial kitchen, and various meeting spaces.
