Rather than purchasing a single large condominium, the owners assembled three adjacent residences over time, creating the opportunity to design a home tailored specifically to their lifestyle.
Originally from New York, the owners divide their time between business and family. He is an investment professional whose work requires a quiet, technologically sophisticated environment overlooking the water. She is the founder of a specialty coffee company with direct ties to a family-owned coffee plantation, bringing a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, hospitality, and gathering around shared experiences.
Their vision extended well beyond creating a larger apartment. The residence needed to function equally well as a private sanctuary for two and as a welcoming home for multiple generations. Because both sets of parents visit regularly, the design carefully separates public and private zones while allowing the family to come together naturally in the expansive living spaces.
The heart of the home is a light-filled great room where the kitchen, living room, and waterfront terraces merge into a single entertaining environment. Sculptural furnishings, natural stone, warm wood millwork, and carefully curated artwork establish an atmosphere that is understated yet unmistakably luxurious. Beyond the open entertaining spaces, the residence incorporates a series of concealed architectural elements that add both privacy and intrigue.
