“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

Amundson Dental and Surgery Center

Forty years into designing places for people, Guycorp founder Guy Tetrick was handed a particularly Miami contradiction: create a next-generation dental and surgical center below ground, then make everyone forget they had gone underground.
The answer wasn’t to disguise the basement. It was to give it a different kind of sky.
Light became architecture. Art became orientation. Advanced cosmetic dentistry and surgery occupy the technological center of the project, but the experience around them was designed with an equally exacting purpose: remove the familiar anxiety of the dental office without pretending it isn’t a serious clinical environment. Surgical precision meets hospitality—not as decoration, but as a way of lowering the volume before anyone asks you to open wide.
This is dentistry after the waiting room stopped being an apology. The technology does the difficult work. The design makes it feel inevitable.
“The details are not the details, they make the product.”
